Thailand Mission Trip (Day 4–”Love Your Neighbor” Dorm

June 20, 2009
Today was a great experience! I was kind of nervous about teaching the little kids but everything turned out fine. It was really easy to teach the children and they were all really nice. After we all introduced ourselves, we started to sing. We sang “Jeus Loves Me This I Know” (Yexus Hlub Cov Menyuam Yaus). The kids loved it especially with hand motions. I then led the children into games and we had a lot of fun. We played “squirrel and fox” which was exhausting but was worth playing. We then played the “electricity” game with water buckets. It was a nice game since everyone got wet after all the sweating.
I didn’t really have chance to fellowship with the youth since I was in charge of the chilferen. They seem to enjoy the time. They played similar games as the children did. There were a lot of youth!
So far, it has been great although there are tiring days. However, no matter how hard or stressful the day gets, I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. This really encourage me every day. This is the end of my journaling. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed our pictures and continue to pray for us. We really need that! Thank you spporters!–Pangia Her
NOTE: The “Love Your Neighbor” Dorm is a dormitory for both boys and girls to live while attending school in the area.
There are 65 children, ranging from ages 5 to 17. There are no housing charges for these children to live in this dorm. Sometimes the parents of the children contribute food to help feed the children there but there are no charges or financial support from the government. Mr. and Mrs. Ajarn Manit (and three other staff) run this place because of their faith and desire to share the Gospel with these children..this is their ministry!
